JPK 1030 Ratz Fatz
Build by the impressive builders at JPK, Ratz Fatz was launched in 2020 and is another fine example of the quality build on display at JPK. JPK has chosen to build IRC performing race yachts with the right technique and not to save time and labour costs. The chosen technique leaves the hull in the mould until the bulkheads and deck have been laminated onto the hull. The result of which is a stiff and light weight hull once it is released from the mould. The JPK designs as a collective are quite simply IRC champions in any discipline. The collective JPK results speak for themselves:
2022
• Caribbean 600 IRC1 - 1st and 2nd
2021
• Rolex Fastnet Race overall - 1st
• Rolex Middle Sea Race overall - 1st and 2nd

• In 4 seasons of IRC racing the JPK 1010 has won in all race formats, including the Fastnet 2013.
• JPK 1080 was voted European Boat of the year 2014 and was awarded the title of 2015 RORC overall Champion.
Now enter the new JPK 1030 into this long list of champions from JPK. The JPK 1030 enters the area with an optimisation towards double-handed IRC offshore racing.
Ratz Fatz hasn’t seen much use since her launch due to the pandemic and is being offered to the market as a ‘nearly new’ boat with a brand new 2022 North 3Di suit of sails used for the Rolex Middle Sea Race and a suit of Technique Volie sails, some of which were for the 2022 Rolex Middle Sea Race. This JPK 1030 is more shorthanded and offshore orientated with an additional 60 kgs in the keel to provide more righting moment. The also offers a professionally fitted out electronics and navigation system and software.
The rig package is provided by Axxon with a carbon mast and boom. The standing rigging is a rod rigging package for rating purposes. The boat has a single backstay with a fine tune split setup.
