Reichel/Pugh 69 Money Penny
The highly acclaimed Reichel/Pugh design house has designed a timeless race winner in Money Penny. Built by McConaghy Boats and launched in 2008, Money Penny has gone from strength to strength with strong results in both IRC and ORC.
Meticulously maintain by Noakes Boatyard in Sydney, Money Penny is in top condition with regular upgrades to keep her on the podium year after year.
Recent upgrades including:
2019
• Southern Spars rig fully serviced
• EC6 standing rigging professionally inspected
2020
• Topsides resprayed
• Cockpit non-skid resprayed
• Longer bowsprit
• BnG H5000 instruments installed along with re-wiring
• New running rigging
• New Nanni diesel engine fitted
• Structural, keel and bulb updates by Reichel Pugh
2021
• Water ballast system increased to 1800kg
To complement the various upgrades, Money Penny shifted over to a Doyle Sail inventory since 2019 and in the last 6 months has kept her sail wardrobe refreshed with a new mainsail, new J3 and New code O. The mainsail has only been used for 2 events while the J3 has yet to be used. The Code 0 was also purchased with a new cable.
Most recent success was in the prestigious Australian Bluewater Championship for 2022 where Money Penny placed 1st overall. She also placed 1st in hugely competitive Division O in the 2022 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race.
This race winner is arguably one of the best race yachts on the market and ready for a new owner to continue her winning ways for years to come. Whether it be inshore or offshore racing anywhere around the World, Money Penny is ready to continue her great legacy with her with new owner.
