JPK 1030 – PILOU

The JPK 1030 was a further performance improvement by Jacques Valer on his already successful design without increasing the rating of its predecessor. The JPK 1030 was designed with exclusive solo and double handed racing in mind which allowed Jacques Valer to forgo fully crew requirements and focus on performance under short handed sailing. The hull shape is a powerful designed when reaching but still easy to sail on VMG sailing.

PILOU was launched in 2019 for solo and double handed offshore racing and has a successful pedigree to show for herself. Taking 4th in the Solo Cap Martinique 2022 and 5th in the Armen Race 2024 in hugely competitive fleets.

PILOU has been well maintained and dry sailed her entire life by her single owner. Only launched for training and racing and otherwise living on her own cradle.
