TP 52 – Phoenix 12

Phoenix 12 was launched in 2014 out of the King Marine boat yard in Valencia. She was designed by the successful design house of Botin Design Partners for the 2015 Super Series rules update.

Since her launch, Phoenix 12 has been raced and maintained by some of the best sailors in the world and producing some impressive results throughout her Super Series career. Testament to her great design, Phoenix 12’s last Super Series appearance was in March 2020 where she was still very competitive due to her steady upgrades through the years to keep up to date with the best of the fleet.

Performance upgrades include:
• Forestay load increased to 8.5 tons.
• Modified jib tracks.
• Driven Traveller car off a pedestal
• Runner winches upgrade to Harken Air winches

Phoenix 12 has now been fitted with a new Southern Spars Coastal rig and boom as well s a coastal bowsprit to facilitate the shift to IRC/ORC racing. The boat is professionally maintained and is dry sailed for 2-3 regattas a year in Cape Town. For the remainder of the year, Phoenix 12 is stored in her own warehouse throughout the year.

Phoenix 12 comes with a extensive sail wardrobe which is further detailed in the PDF brochure. Due to Covid 19, most of the sails were delivered to the boat for the 2020 Super Series but never raced with.
